Measure and calculate

  1. Enter a desired drop to find finished cloth dimensions. The calculator adds that drop twice: once for each opposite edge.
  2. Enter up to three finished cloth sizes to compare their actual coverage. A 90° rotation is shown separately and applied only when selected.
  3. If checking distance to the floor, measure vertically from the floor to the top surface. Clearance is calculated at the midpoint of each edge.

Understand the fit

A 180 × 90 cm tabletop with a 25 cm drop needs a 230 × 140 cm finished cloth. For a 72 × 30 inch tabletop and 15 inch drop, the result is 102 × 60 inches.

For a round table, enter its diameter, not its radius. A 60 inch diameter with 15 inch drop needs a 90 inch diameter cloth.

A 240 × 140 cm cloth centered on a 180 × 90 cm table hangs 30 cm at each end and 25 cm at each side. Equal area does not prove fit: both dimensions must cover the table.

Floor length uses your measured height minus your chosen floor clearance. On a 75 cm high table, 5 cm clearance gives a 70 cm drop. Rectangular corners can hang below their side midpoints.

A six-foot table length or seating count cannot establish cloth size without its width and a desired drop. Package sizes, wash shrinkage and manufacturing variation may differ from finished measurements.

Coverage needs only nonnegative margins. A desired drop can be larger than one or both margins.

No. Rectangular corners may hang lower than midpoint calculations. Round results are idealized nominal values.
